Charlie has been moved to the hospice floor at the VA hospital.  If you plan to visit Charlie, better sooner than later. Check in with Joan first to make sure timing is convenient.  Her number is below.

Hi Everyone,
Charlie was moved to the rehab floor at the VA. Unfortunately, he is too weak to participate in any rehab activities. As I have said before, his medical conditions are untreatable at this point. Joan expects that he will be moved either to a VA nursing home or to the hospice floor at the VA. Charlie still enjoys visitors so if you have a chance please stop by to see him.

Charlie has been moved to the rehab floor at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee. In the near future he will be moved to a nursing home, as he requires 24 hour care. Joan is hoping she can get him into the VA nursing home in Union Grove.

The doctors have told Charlie that there is not much they can do for this multiple medical aliments. If you would like to see him please call Joan before going up to the hospital. They are trying to move him to the nursing home but do not know when this will be possible. Joan’s number is 262-639-0193 at home, cell phone is 262-930-2965. I will keep everyone posted as best that I can.

Hi Everyone,

Joan called me last night with an update on Charlie’s condition. Unfortunately it is not good. He has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in the VA hospital in grave condition but improving. Joan will keep us posted on his condition. I will let everyone know when he is moved to a regular room and is allowed visitors.

Let’s all say a prayer.
