I feel so fortunate to have been able to indulge my passion for the entertainment/theatre field throughout my life. Over the years, I have worked as a singing comedienne, actress, teacher, director, booking agent, producer and host of a tv discussion/interview series.
I married Donald Greenberg, a pediatrician, in '57, while attending the Northwestern U. Speech School. My education was interrupted by the birth of our son, Earle, in '58, and Iris, in '60. I returned to N.U., graduated in '68, and then Jacki was born in '69. We now have six terrific grandchildren. Earle (also an N.U. grad)has a videoproduction business and both girls have degrees in theatre. I was producing artistic director of "Acting Up," the nationally acclaimed performing troupe of actors over the age of 60, while on staff at Oakton Community College from '86-'96. I also directed "Still Acting Up," from '00-'04. I have been a member of the Joseph Jefferson Awards Committee since '94,and get to spend innumerable nights at the theatre. |
